Old School Song of the Week

K.M.D. - "Peachfuzz" "Peachfuzz...Peachfuzz..." Who wasn't singing that hook on their way to 8th grade Spanish? I know I was. K.M.D. (Kausing Much Damage) included members Zev Luv X, Subroc, and Onyx, and they released the song in 1990 off the album Mr. Hood. It was an immediate hit with heavy airplay on Yo! MTV Raps and Rap City, but like many popular songs of the era, it never made the radio rotation; nevertheless, it was an infectious song that still keeps heads nodding. Also, be on the look out for cameos by Prime Minister Pete Nice and Grand Puba in the video.

The group first made an appearance on 3rd Bass' "Gasface" and "Gasface Refill" before dropping their first album, but unfortunately they disbanded after the death of Subroc. Zev Luv X reinvented himself as MF Doom and is now a very popular artist amongst the underground listeners.
